Scott V. Wedell Memorial Page
Scott Vincent Wedell was the greatest New York Jets fan that you will ever come across in the entirety of your lifetime, he studied every second of every Jets game that he saw, he crunched the numbers, came up with rankings, anything to prove that not only was his team better than yours, but to prove that he knew more than you about not only the Jets, but football in general.
Scott was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma while still in high school, and fought it to the absolute end. His father, Ray Wedell, put it into words the best when he said ‘Scott didn’t lose the game, time just ran out.’
Though Scott has left us to forge on ahead without him, we stand reaffirmed in the fact that a part of him will always be beside us, to push up to our limits and past them.
Through Scott’s death, we hope to not only keep the fire of his memory burning strong, but also to educate people on a lesser known form of cancer that doesn’t get it’s share of the research time or funds.
